What Are the Stock Market Holidays for 2025?

Even Bay Street takes holidays. The regular schedule for the Toronto Stock Exchange, the Canadian Securities Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Nasdaq is Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern time, with weekends off. Markets remain open on New Year’s Eve unless it falls on a weekend. There are also certain closures for stock market holidays. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed the following Monday.
